Excitement brewing.

The band has been very busy as of late with several great things happening! On April 12, 2023, Woodford Station recorded a live video with a live audio track at the Southfield Jazz and Blues Series, held that evening at the Southfield Public Library. This video was to be broadcast on the City of Southfield’s all access cable channel. The band is now taking songs and video from that performance and creating individual songs for viewing on our You Tube channel (Woodford Station - YouTube). Our thanks go out to J. Hall and G. Watts for their amazing job producing and editing our video from that show, as well as the band’s bass player and recording engineer, Wayne Wilkins, who produced and edited the audio content. You can go to our “Video” page and watch the complete one-hour performance and also watch individual songs from that great show!

In addition, Woodford Station is excited about a couple of big outdoor shows in the coming months, with Tuesday “Concerts in the Park” at the Market Center Band Shell in Southgate on June 27th from 6:00-8:00 pm and Sterlingfest 2023 on July 28th from 1:30-4:30 pm! We are also working on booking shows in the fall!

The band will be going into Studio B in Livonia beginning June 10th to record three highly anticipated original songs that the band have been performing live at the shows. The response has been nothing less than incredible! These three songs will be included in a future band release and there is discussion about adding more new original material to this project. The songs will also be available at all the popular music streaming sites for purchase. Exciting news!

And finally, the band has been included in a short thirty-minute piece presented by the Detroit Blues Society called “Motor City Blues”, episode #38 and hosted by Dave Daniele. You can go to this link and watch the entire piece that was well produced and put together featuring Woodford Station https://youtu.be/pyBrSk1BcWM.

We look forward to seeing everyone at our shows!

Two big outdoor shows right around the corner.

One for the books.

Just one word can describe the band’s big show at Lagerhaus No. 5 on Saturday, April 1st. Incredible. It was Woodford Station’s return engagement from last year at this very inviting club, full of cha
